In typical Leeds United fashion, the good news of the Championship returning next week has been met with an injury blow to Jean-Kevin Augustin.

The Frenchman has reportedly suffered a recurrence of the hamstring injury that he picked up after first arriving at the club.

All signs were looking positive for Augustin, who had followed Marcelo Bielsa's regime and finally gotten up to speed with the rest of the squad during the break.

The Athletic's Phil Hay has reported on Friday that it is highly unlikely that the 22-year-old will play again in the Championship this season.

It's a massive blow for the Whites, who on paper now only have Patrick Bamford as their only out-and-out striker at Elland Road.

Wrong. Cast your mind back to the 4-0 victory against Hull City, and Tyler Roberts proved to everyone he has what it takes to lead the line.

The Welsh international has largely been used as an attacking playmaker under Bielsa but is primarily a striker.

Many Leeds fans have agreed as well, with the majority claiming that this is the perfect opportunity for Roberts to step up in the absence of his teammate.
