Many Leeds fans expect one player to be axed for clash v Brentford: ‘No doubt’, ‘Simple’

Kalvin Phillips will be once again available for Leeds United on Tuesday when they take on Brentford at Griffin Park in the Championship.

The 24-year-old has missed Leeds’ last three matches due to suspension and Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed, as quoted by LeedsLive, that the midfielder will return to his starting line-up against the Bees.

Leeds have lost their last two matches and none of the regular starters are showing good form at all so there has been a question about who Bielsa will opt to axe from his side so that Phillips can return.

Most fans believe that the player who’ll be dropped will be Ezgjan Alioski.

Alioski, 27, was blasted by sections of the Leeds support over the weekend for his performance in the 2-0 defeat against Nottingham Forest.

The North Macedonia international played at left-back in the loss on Saturday but now that Phillips is available, it has been suggested by some fans that Stuart Dallas will return to left-back, Luke Ayling to right-back and Ben White to centre-back.

It makes sense for Bielsa to do that especially as Alioski has been someone who the Argentine has not shied away from dropping to the bench at other points this season.

Here is a selection of tweets by fans who are betting that the ex-Lugano man gets axed by Bielsa this week against Brentford:
