Many Leeds fans blown away by ‘Underrated’ mainstay in 1-0 win v Boro: ‘MOTM’, ‘Unbelievable’
Mateusz Klich has recently been told to add more goals to his games – and that is exactly what the Leeds United midfielder did on Wednesday night.
Klich, 29, has been in superb form lately but ex-Leeds striker Noel Whelan has been disappointed by the lack of goals coming from the Poland international.
However after the 1-0 win against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium on Wednesday night, Whelan can’t exactly complain about that now as Klich bagged the winning goal for the Whites.
It was a frustrating first half for Leeds as they squandered several chances to break the deadlock but just before the whistle was blown for half-time, Klich managed to grab a goal.
Klich has now scored five goals in all competitions for Leeds this season and three of them have come against Middlesbrough after he bagged a brace against them in the reverse fixture at Elland Road.
It wasn’t just his goalscoring display that impressed Leeds fans on Twitter though as the 29-year-old had a major impact in the midfield when the Whites were both in and out of possession.
