Many Leeds fans blast one player who ‘flatters to deceive’ v Reading: ‘Fraud’, ‘No conviction’
Leeds United fans were not impressed by Helder Costa’s display in the 1-0 win against Reading on Saturday.
Although they left Elland Road after watching their team pick up all three points for a second game in a row, there were some who thought the Portuguese winger was not at the races in the victory.
Costa, 26, has hardly been one of the stand-out players at Elland Road this season.
Since joining the Whites on loan from Wolves in the summer, he has scored three goals and supplied two assists in 34 appearances.
He played a crucial role in Pablo Hernandez’s winner against Reading when his backheel set-up the Spaniard to score.
Unfortunately, Costa did not get credit for the assist as Hernandez had to have two bites of the cherry before shooting past the Royals goalkeeper.
Still, it wasn’t the worst of displays by the one-time Portugal international, who has started to show a bit of an improvement in recent weeks.
He was not in the good books of some fans on Twitter though, with one even accusing the 26-year-old as flattering to deceive.
