They say football is a game of two halves and it certainly was for Leeds United at the Emirates on Sunday.

In a reverse of the FA Cup fixture last year, Arsenal dominated the first-half before Leeds briefly threatened a comeback in the second 45.

This correlated with Gjanni Alioski going off and Niall Huggins coming on and plenty of Leeds fans blasted the left-back for his display.

Alioski was up against a brilliant player who was on top form yesterday – Bukayo Saka – and we've always said he's better going forward than he is in defence.

However, he lost Saka constantly in the first 45 minutes and we actually can't remember a positive contribution from him.

Huggins was brought on at 4-0 down, a real baptism of fire for the youngster, but he did a brilliant job under very trying circumstances.

It was his debut for Leeds but you'd never have known it and while he occasionally struggled against Saka, he did better than Alioski.

One fan said that Alioski was bullied by Saka and that's the one thing we wouldn't have expected from him.

We'd like to see Huggins get more game time now and maybe even a start next time out if Leeds are still suffering with the same injury problems.

In the meantime, here are the best reactions to Alioski's display on Sunday...
