Robbie Gotts is a really popular player with Leeds United fans and they, along with Lincoln supporters, were delighted with his display against Accrington on Tuesday night.
Gotts got his first career goal for the Imps in the 4-0 EFL Trophy win and he was also voted man of the match.
The game saw Lincoln storm through to the last eight of the competition and the Wembley arches are now beckoning for Gotts and his teammates.
Gotts himself tweeted to say, “Great performance from the team tonight and happy to get my first goal.”

Gotts was given an 8/10 rating by Lincolnshire Live who said, “Seemed to cover every blade of grass. After a lack of game time recently, has given Appleton something to think about. Scored the important second goal with a diving header.”
The man of the match vote might have been swayed by the Leeds fan piling onto it but supporters from both sides lined up on Twitter to praise his display.
One Imp said that he thought “Gotts had his best game yet in midfield.”
The versatile 21-year-old has been playing in midfield and at right-back for Lincoln, although he’s been struggling for game time recently, and had registered two assists across 11 appearances.
His first goal is a real milestone and we hope that this sees him kick on in his loan at Lincoln in the second half of the season.
Here are the best reactions to last night’s performance…
Imps excellent beating Accrington Stanley 4-0 in the Papa John’s EFL trophy. Could easily have been 7 or 8. Brilliant team performance but I did think Robbie Gotts had his best game yet in midfield

@BBCRadioLincs @rob_makepeace @cornelltheking Elbouzedi, Gotts and Grant were the best players on the night. And they showed how brilliant they can be for us Imps this season. And there's more to come from them.
