‘He’ll be great for them’, ‘Perfect’ – Many PL fans thrilled with Leeds reportedly close to deal
Tottenham fans are delighted that Juan Foyth is reportedly heading towards a loan move to join Leeds United in the summer.
Argentine news outlet Clarin Sports has claimed that Foyth, 22, is very close to joining the Whites on a season-long loan, with all but paperwork to be signed off on.
Foyth arrived in North London as a promising young defender when Mauricio Pochettino signed him from Estudiantes in 2017.
However this season has been a tough one for the Argentina international, who has struggled for game-time since Pochettino was sacked and replaced by Jose Mourinho.
It isn’t simply the change in management that has affected Foyth’s development because he also plays in a team with three top centre-backs, has been played out of position and has suffered with form and injury issues.
Tottenham fans are eager to see Foyth succeed and see Marcelo Bielsa as the perfect manager to develop the Argentine defender.
We agree that it would be a good move for Foyth if it goes through and these Spurs fans are clearly hoping a temporary agreement can be struck between the two clubs.

If we win promotion then Bielsa is bound to need a new centre-back or two with Ben White’s loan deal expiring and Gaetano Berardi’s contract also set to end.
Can Foyth be a smart replacement?
Football’s economy is going to be in the dirt when the transfer window re-opens and striking loan agreements could be a clever way to push on.
Foyth has ability and potential and if a loan deal is agreed, we hope Leeds can get an option-to-buy clause tied into it.
