Leeds United fans have been praising Kalvin Phillips in anticipation of the midfielder making his 200th appearance for the club, which could come against Crystal Palace on Monday.

It has been quite a journey for the 25-year-old, who made his debut under Neil Redfearn in 2015.

Since then he has become a key player under Marcelo Bielsa, and played a vital role in getting us up last year.

His form has led him to pick up three England caps too, and we could not be prouder.

It has been a dream for Phillips as he is Leeds through and through.

Many supporters have rightly praised him for his contribution to our success.

One has called for him to be made captain one day, and that is a feeling I am sure we can all agree with.

Over his 199 games so far Phillips has 21 goals and assists, so it would be nice if he added to his game in the attacking final third.

Regardless, he is still some player.

A career return of 901 interceptions and 7330 completed passes (WyScout) show how effective he has been in midfield, and without him we may not have been promoted.

Unlike others such as Lewis Cook or Sam Byram, Phillips is an academy product who has shown his loyalty to the club.

It is clear he loves life at Elland Road and long may that continue.

Here are some of the reactions to Phillips closing in on a big Leeds landmark.
