Some Leeds United fans have expressed a desire to see Ronaldo Vieira return to Elland Road.
Ronaldo was sold to Sampdoria for £7.7million in 2018, a move which financed the purchase of Patrick Bamford.
Marcelo Bielsa has said since that he wanted to keep hold of him and promised to double his value in a year, but it became necessary to sell him.
His brother, Romario, was also a Leeds player but suffered significant injuries that hindered his development and also blocked a move to Doncaster Rovers – he now turns out for Tadcaster Albion.
The Athletic’s brilliant interview with Romario today has put Ronaldo front and centre of Leeds’ fans minds again.
This is the story of the Vieira brothers, as told by @RomarioVieira_0 – from Guinea-Bissau to Portugal to Leeds and beyond.
Adapting, surviving and coping at a club where you are constantly in your brother’s shadow.

It is little surprise there is so much love for the 22-year-old Vieira, as he made a big impression when he broke into the first-team at Leeds.
He managed 2.1 tackles per game in both of his full seasons at the club, and that ability to break up play is sorely missed currently.
Kalvin Phillips is the undisputed number one in the defensive midfield position but Leeds have no cover for him.
Bringing back Vieira would certainly solve that issue, and given Bielsa is a fan the door is surely open for a potential return.
He certainly made a notable impression on Whites’ fans – here are some who would love to see him come back…
Id bring Ronaldo back put him in there with Phillips to help out defensively & give Klich abit more freedom , he could also slot in there when we are missing KP

Gutted when we sold Ronaldo. Would fit so well into the team now, exactly what we're missing.

We need to sign Ronaldo back. He was good for his age and had a lot of potential.

In other Leeds United news, the club is ready to make a loan move for a player wanted by Bielsa.
