Leeds United have issued an update about which fans will be allowed back into Elland Road when restrictions are lifted and many fans have been left angered.
In the update, which was posted on Twitter on Tuesday night, it was revealed that: “an allocation of tickets will be reserved for 2020/21 Members for each home league fixture where fans can return at a reduced capacity. The size of the allocation will be dependent on the capacity available.
“All 2020/21 Members will be included in a ballot to gain access to these tickets.”

The number of fans that can be admitted into stadiums currently is 2,000 (Tier 2) and 4,000 (Tier 1).
Leeds is currently in Tier 3 so no fans can currently get into any home games.
Chelsea will have 2,000 fans at Saturday’s game against Leeds at Stamford Bridge.
The Leeds update has left a lot of season ticket holders upset. They think that they should have priority access to the full allocation of tickets available when Elland Road is opened up again.
You can see their point. They’ve spent hundreds of pounds on a season ticket and haven’t been able to get into games since last March.
Even with the increased allocation of 4,000 fans there would be thousands of season-ticket holders left out.
However, Leeds haven’t said how big an allocation will be reserved for members and we think everyone should hold fire until then.
What we will say is that it’s a poor bit of communication from the club that was always going to upset season ticket holders.
These are the fans who have spent a lot of their hard-earned money on supporting the club and they deserve to be kept in the picture by the club first.
Here is a selection of the angry reactions from fans to the official update…
Fans are moaning as members are getting priority after paying £50 when a season ticket holder have payed for them at a average of £500.

Hang on a minute. Why does someone paying £50 for a membership get a gift pack but someone who pays £700+ for a season ticket doesn't? What benefits have we had this season? Sorry guys, that stinks!!
— Col (@col1984) December 1, 2020
Members getting tickets is a joke while it’s reduced capacity, season ticket holder for 16 years and there’s a chance someone who’s recently become a member could get a ticket over me. Yet again Kinnear & @andrearadri so out of touch when it comes to our ticketing policy.

This has been communicated in the wrong order. Surely ST holders who have committed a large amount of money who could possibly need this right now because of changes in circumstances. Just a little bit of thought in the timing of this lads.
— BARNEY (@barney___21) December 1, 2020
You off you’re heads lads?!! Someone who pays £30 now potentially gets priority over myself and 22000 who’ve paid upwards of £600 for a season ticket during one of the countries hardest times financially? No communication on refunds etc, once again @LUFC have failed the fans
— Matt Ski (@dzialowskimatt) December 1, 2020
Think the club are getting this totally wrong if they're giving priority to members over ST holders. It will be a while until more than 22k ppl are allowed inside ER. Until that point only ST holders shud be considered IMO. #LUFC #MOT

This doesn't seem right at all.
Surely us STHs have to have priority for any limited capacity games? 🥴 https://t.co/DKjcGONEbv
— Daryl ⚡ (@DarylRS29) December 1, 2020
If that’s the case and members have a chance to get a ticket (nothing against the members) I’ll take my refund for my season ticket now. Absolutely ridiculous is this
— WAFLL 🏆 (@WAFLL1919_) December 1, 2020
This is mental. Of course season ticket holders should have priority. As a member I have zero expectations of attending a match this season and would only expect to once all season ticket holders can attend matches. This needs amending now.
— Premier League GD 🏆 (@gdlufc) December 1, 2020
That’s disgraceful. Tickets will be so limited it must be season ticket holders only
— James Clark (@clarkjames70) December 1, 2020
Pathetic. Should be season ticket holders only if we are allowed fans in this season, we’ve already paid for it but no let’s get some extra money in eh!!!
— luke (@lukecowling) December 1, 2020
This is absolutely shocking. How can you put members above season ticket holders. We have paid up front for many years and missed the most decisive part of last season. Now you intend to deny us again. This club as grown into a fantastic club but this is just wrong
— Lenny (@leedsutdlenny) December 1, 2020
Disgusting this. Paid nearly £700 in the middle of a lockdown to reserve a ticket at every home game, already paid for my seat. You are sitting on that money.
