‘Corrupt system’, ‘Joke’ – Many Leeds fans furious with latest EFL update
Leeds United fans are furious with an announcement by the EFL which says another one of their fixtures has been moved.
On Friday, the EFL confirmed that Leeds’ clash against Derby at Pride Park has been moved to 2pm on Sunday, July 19. Originally it was set to take place on the Saturday.
Leeds play Swansea this Sunday and Barnsley on Thursday before that drip to the East Midlands next Sunday, so we do not understand why so many fans are fuming with this fixture change.
Sky Sports simply cannot ignore the fact that Leeds get them huge viewing figures and are gunning for promotion back to the Premier League to end a 16-year absence.
Anyone with a shred of intelligence will understand why Sky are putting so many Leeds matches on television. They’re a business and they will do what benefits their business best.
So many Leeds fans are fuming with this fixture change though, but what did they expect?
Is the real reason for the anger because Brentford play before us again? If so, why is there any need to be upset about that?
Let Brentford win all their games if they want to. We can get away without winning all our games and we’ll finish above them.
If Marcelo Bielsa’s men cannot cope with being put under pressure by a small club from somewhere in London, do they deserve to be in the Premier League?
It’s not as if anyone is planning to go to the game either, we’re all stuck at home doing nothing.
But that’s not stopped some fans from getting angry over the EFL’s update and here is a selection of their tweets:

This next Leeds fan simply doesn’t get it and will clutch at made-up straws to try and prove a point about an EFL conspiracy.
West Brom have also had one of their fixtures moved. It’s not always about Leeds, you know. As much as we want it to be.
In other Leeds United news, Adrian Durham is staggered by what happened in the win over Stoke.
