Leeds United take on Brighton this weekend, and the return of loan star Ben White has sparked discussion amongst the fanbase.
Marcelo Bielsa commented on the defender in his press conference on Thursday, sharing his admiration for the 23-year-old.
He praised White’s professionalism and wished him well for the remainder of his career, suggesting he deserves to grow into a better player.
That indicates he isn’t on the Argentine’s mind in terms of a transfer, disappointingly, though Bielsa is likely preoccupied with how to best him on Saturday.
Several supporters have reacted to Bielsa’s comments, but rather than predicting how Patrick Bamford may fair against his former teammate, the focus is on bringing White back to Elland Road.
That is understandable given the Brighton player averaged a WhoScored rating of 7.09 last term, with his 46 league appearances making him a key member of the promotion-winning side.
By comparison, new defenders Robin Koch and Diego Llorente are yet to have a similar impact, due in part to injuries they have sustained.
So far this season White has appeared in all but one Premier League game for Brighton, and that means he should start against us on Saturday.
Here are some of the calls for the club to bring the centre-back to Elland Road.
Sign him up in summer

Absolutely superb player and a seemed like a lovely guy too. Hope he's on the losing side on Saturday, but after that, hope he goes onto a long and successful career. Would love to see him return one day ππ pic.twitter.com/x8Ku4PB5KY
