‘Awful’, ‘Terrible’ – Many Leeds fans slaughter ‘Average’ Championship player despite 1-0 win
Leeds United fans blasted winger Jack Harrison for his performance in the 1-0 win against Burnley at Elland Road on Sunday.
Harrison, 24, completed all 90 minutes of the victory on the left-wing but it was one of the Manchester City loanee’s quieter displays for the Whites this season in the Premier League.
The former New York City attacker has scored twice and assisted three goals in 14 top-flight appearances this term for Leeds and should have really added to his goalscoring tally when he missed a big chance to score against Burnley.
Stats by Wyscout also show that Harrison completed just 55 per cent of his passes, completed one of his three dribbles, found a team-mate with just one of his four crosses and had just one touch inside the Burnley penalty area.
It wasn’t Harrison’s finest display for Leeds and a section of fans have made that very clear on Twitter, with one saying he needs “replacing in January“.
Here is a selection of their tweets:

It really goes to show how some fans have gotten so used to playing brilliant attacking football and winning games under Marcelo Bielsa that when things start to get a bit worse, they start turning on players they were once hailing.
There is absolutely no way that Harrison should be replaced in January and we are not buying for one second that he’s an “average” Championship player.
Harrison has shown he is more than capable of playing in the Premier League with several superb performances on the left-wing.
According to Wyscout, Harrison ranks third in the Premier League for crosses [72] and joint-second, alongside Bruno Fernandes, for key passes [18].
He was one of Leeds’ best players last term as they won promotion from the Championship and has rightfully kept his spot in Bielsa’s starting line-up.
