‘100%’, ‘Whatever it takes, sign him, ‘Steal’ – Many Leeds fans blown away by 23y/o comments

Leeds United fans have been urging the club to sign Jack Harrison after the winger expressed his desire to stay at Elland Road next season.

Harrison, 23, has had almost two full seasons on loan at Leeds from Manchester City and although he had his critics last term, many have suggested he has been a player of the year contender in 2019/20.

The former New York City attacker has started all 37 of the club’s Championship matches this season, scoring five goals and supplying seven assists in the process.

And if Leeds win promotion to the Premier League, it seems that Harrison would be receptive to a permanent move to Elland Road based on his recent interview with ESPN FC.

“Me, myself, I want to do everything I can to help [Leeds] get to the Premier League and hopefully I can still be with them next season,” he said.

“As a player, I always want to play at the highest level and push myself to the limit. I am not opposed to going back to Man City if that’s what’s required of me, if that’s what is wanted. I have to be ambitious as a player as well.

“If it’s playing with Man City or wherever, or with Leeds in the Premiership next season, I’m going to try and play my best wherever it is. We’ll just have to see what happens I think.”

Leeds are on course for promotion to the Premier League this season with them currently sat top of the Championship and seven points clear of third with nine matches to play.

Although there coronavirus pandemic has brought the league to a halt, Leeds are still widely expected to be successful in their promotion charge once football returns.

And with the Manchester Evening News reporting that Harrison could be available for just £8million, many Leeds supporters are urging the club to tie up a permanent deal for the winger.
