'It's a big fee' – Exclusive: Pundit thrilled as Leeds United on brink of another 'top signing'

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…

Paul Robinson has said that Leeds are on the brink of a “top signing” with the news that Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance has completed his medical.

Sky Sports reporter Fabrizio Romano reported that news on Wednesday with official confirmation expected from Leeds.

Romano said that Cuisance had signed a five-year deal at Leeds.

Talking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said, “Cuisance is a top player. It shows how far Leeds have come that they’re signing top players from clubs like Bayern Munich

“It’s obviously a position they’ve been looking at all window and this means the [Rodrigo] De Paul deal probably isn’t happening.

“They had to turn their attention elsewhere and this is a top signing. I really like him. He’s a dynamic midfielder and he’s a player who’s not afraid to do the hard yards.

“He’s also got a nice forward-passing style.

“It’s a big fee but that’s what players are commanding these days and it’s credit to Andrea Radrizzani that they’ve invested so much money. This is another top signing.”

Radrizzani will have invested over £100m on players this summer if Cuisance signs but there are plenty of youngsters coming in for the future, too.

Cuisance is likely to be a regular first-team player after moving from Bayern Munich as he wasn’t getting game time.
