‘This is when Leeds United could sack Daniel Farke – He is safe for now’ – Expert

Daniel Farke is closer than ever to being sacked by Leeds United.

Leeds fans have turned on Farke, with Elland Road turning toxic during the latest 2-1 defeat against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

That followed away drubbings by Brighton and Nottingham Forest, with the Whites now sitting in the Premier League relegation zone.

Farke is scheduled to talk to the media on Thursday, with Leeds taking on Manchester City next.

Despite Leeds fans wanting the manager to be sacked, it may be a while until the perfect moment arises to switch the man in the hot seat.

Daniel Farke sack timeline revealed at Leeds

Farke will be in charge of Leeds against Manchester City, that is the latest.

Dan Plumley has warned that with Chelsea and Liverpool to follow that game, now isn’t the perfect time to sack Farke and make a change.

The football finance expert insists that a pinch point will arrive to make that decision, and it will likely be around Christmas, with one eye on the January transfer window.

“Absolutely, there is that side of it as well,” Plumley exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“If you do sack a manager and you’re looking at your next three fixtures, that Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool, realistically, what is any manager going to get out of those fixtures?

In the Premier League, ultimately, they’re the ones you look for at the start of the season and say, ‘anything from them is a bonus’, you’re not expecting to beat those teams.

I think there is logic in thinking that if you are going to sack Farke, maybe it’s not a good time to change when you’re going into that run of fixtures.

I think there will be a pinch point for Leeds, and I think that will be around Christmas time with a view to the January window, but I do think some warning signs come with sacking a manager before those three fixtures.”

Who else do Leeds play in December?

Anything can happen at Elland Road, and that’s what Farke will be telling himself for those games against Chelsea and Liverpool.

Even with positive results, though, change is needed.

Leeds kept Jesse Marsch around after a win against Liverpool back in 2022, missing out on the likes of Unai Emery because of it.

Following those games, Leeds take on Brentford, Crystal Palace and Sunderland, in three winnable games either side of Christmas.

Leeds fans would love a new manager in charge for those, with decent-sized gaps between them to drill new ideas into a squad desperately needing them.

Let’s see what happens over the next fortnight, with big changes coming.
