‘This is what 49ers firing Daniel Farke already will do at Leeds’ – Ian Darke
Daniel Farke often comes in for criticism at Leeds.
The Whites have picked up four points from four games so far this season, with Leeds’ latest defeat to Fulham failing to add to that.
All in all, it is not a bad return, and keeps you at the one point-per-game that is often needed to stay in the Premier League.
However, there are still several concerns at Leeds, including Farke, who has often been questioned as to whether he should be sacked at Elland Road.

MOT Leeds News presents the exclusive opinion of iconic football commentator Ian Darke.
Leeds will have contingency plans in place for Daniel Farke
Farke’s record in the Premier League is horrendous, and that will undoubtedly play into the minds of the 49ers should Leeds fail to get back to winning ways.
However, until that happens, Ian Darke believes that the Whites should remain with the German, with some major consequences possible if he were to be sacked.
Farke’s Premier League record
- 53 Premier League games
- 7 wins
- 9 draws
- 37 losses
- 30 points
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said: “I don’t see them sacking him at all at the moment. I still think the start they’ve made isn’t too bad at all. And it’s not a time to be rocking the boat.
“They need to be together as a unit and as a club. Everybody is on the same page. And I think that’s where Leeds should be.
“Already firing the manager is only unsettling for the players and the club generally. So, it would be a bad move. They’ve got to let Farke do what he’s doing and see if they can just nick enough points to keep their heads above the waterline.“

49ers will need to show ruthless side at Leeds
Taking his record in the top flight away, there is no reason for Farke to be sacked at Leeds, yet.
However, as soon as things start turning for the worse, and if wins don’t start coming, then the 49ers cannot afford to dither over a decision.
As opposed to being reactive, they need to be proactive and sense when things are starting to go downhill at Elland Road.
Only then should a decision be made, and it will be crucial that they act on it.
