Sky Sports pundit wowed by Brenden Aaronson despite what he's seen from Leeds United

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…

Paul Robinson has been impressed by Brenden Aaronson’s performance for Leeds United in recent weeks despite Jesse Marsch’s side suffering from a rocky run of form.

Leeds haven’t won a Premier League game since their 3-0 scalp of Chelsea on 21 August, losing four of the six games since to drop down to 15th in the table.

Aaronson, 21, has definitely been a bright spark for Leeds amid that rotten run and while Robinson has been happy with his displays, he’s disappointed with the overall form – especially the loss at Crystal Palace last week.

Speaking to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “Aaronson has been excellent this season but results have been poor – Leeds haven’t won since the Chelsea game.

In the Palace game, I thought it was a poor performance all round, in all honesty.

It was a lacklustre, disjointed performance.”

Aaronson has made nine appearance for Leeds since his summer arrival from Red Bull Salzburg.

All of those have come in the Premier League and he’s scored one goal and supplied one assist.

Aaronson’s versatility has meant that Marsch has been able to play him in a number of attacking midfield roles, with his latest showing versus Arsenal seeing him as either a number 10 or a right-winger.

In other Leeds United news, Adam Forshaw has shared how Marsch tore into one player in front of everyone at traning.
