Sky Sports pundit slams Leeds United form under Jesse Marsch, delivers Rodrigo verdict
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Paul Robinson isn’t impressed with what he’s seen from Leeds United since Jesse Marsch replaced Marcelo Bielsa as manager.
The ex-Leeds goalkeeper fails to see much change at Elland Road despite his former club winning each of their last two matches with goals in stoppage time.
Leeds won 2-1 over Norwich on 13 March before coming from two goals behind to win 3-2 at Wolves five days later.

Despite Marsch overseeing the Whites move seven points clear of the Premier League’s relegation zone, Robinson suggests the Yorkshire club still has plenty of improving to do and also feels that Rodrigo’s transformation under Marsch is simply down to the fact he’s getting a run of games.
“Rodrigo’s been given a run and an opportunity in the team. He’s certainly done better than he has done previously, I just still don’t think the performances are at the level they should be at,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
“They were seconds away from drawing against Norwich, which would’ve felt like a defeat and with Wolves, okay, the result was excellent, but I still don’t think the performance was good enough.
“At the end of the day, they only beat 10 men.

“It was an outstanding achievement to overcome a two-goal deficit but I think two results have masked two poor performances.
“I don’t see that big of a change.
“Rodrigo’s improved because he’s been given an opportunity and he’s obviously been given a new lease of life under the new manager.
“He’s had an opportunity to play and you can see he’s got a lot more confidence.”
Leeds play Southampton, Watford and Crystal Palace in their next three fixtures after the international break ends next weekend.
In other Leeds United news, it’s “very possible” this player will quit Elland Road in the summer after an update in the last 48 hours.
