Raphinha exit could be on the cards if Bayern Munich launch major bid for Leeds United star – pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Paul Robinson cannot see Leeds United selling Raphinha this month despite speculation linking him with a move to Bayern Munich.
The Mirror reports that Leeds do not want to sell Raphinha, 25, in the January transfer window and that it would take an offer of at least £50millio for the Yorkshire club to consider a sale.
Brazilian news outlet TNT Sports confidently reported on 24 December that Raphinha “will” join Bayern Munich before the end of this month in a deal worth £42million.

Sky Sports Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano has since reported [28 December, YouTube] that there’s no agreement between Leeds and Bayern but did add that the Germans are interested in the Brazilian winger.
Robinson is a massive fan of Raphinha and really doesn’t expect to see the ex-Rennes attacker leave this month.
However, the former goalkeeper feels that if Raphinha does go, it will be for a massive fee that would help Leeds really improve their squad.
“Raphinha’s been turning heads since last season, he’s been Leeds’ stand-out player with his goals and his assists so it’s no surprise that he’s being linked with top clubs like Bayern Munich,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.

“He’s made his mark with the Brazil national team as well so teams are going to look at him.
“January is a difficult month to do deals in, especially with the predicament that Leeds are in. With the number of injuries they’ve got, they can’t afford to lose any more players so I can’t see that being a deal that’s done in January.
“If a big clubs like Bayern Munich comes in and they pay a lot of money for him, there are some deals that are unstoppable and that money is then reinvested into the side.
“It could be used in a positive way if the player wanted to leave. You could get a lot money for him but you don’t want to see players of his quality leave.”
In other Leeds United news, this senior ace is reportedly on his way out of Elland Road despite Bielsa’s wishes.
