Pundit wants three £30m signings at Leeds United after Victor Orta transfer reveal

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...

Paul Robinson wants to see Leeds United go big on signing three new players in the summer transfer window for £30million each.

Raphinha has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona and ex-Leeds goalkeeper Robinson reckons the Whites can get £90million for the Brazil winger.

On March 25, Leeds’ director of football Victor Orta told Training Ground Guru’s Scouting and Recruitment Webinar that the Yorkshire club can only “buy one or two careers (experienced, established players) per summer.

And while that doesn’t sound like many, Robinson believes that if those players are of high quality, it’ll be a superb summer window at Elland Road.

Speaking to MOT Leeds News, the Sky Sports pundit said: “I think Victor has to be trusted with his previous recruitment record. He’s very, very good.

He’s got a great eye for a player and the due diligence he does on players is excellent. And his relationship with the manager is important.

There are going to be players the manager will want out of the door, as well as players he’s going to want to bring in.

It’s very difficult to comment on the club’s transfer policy until you understand who they want to leave the club and what positions they’ll look at.

If they bring two or three established players in and don’t lose any, that’ll be an excellent window for them.

If they got £90million for Raphinha and they brought in three players at £30million, that would be a great window.

[You can get] top-class players at that price bracket.”
