Pundit slams struggling Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Paul Robinson was unimpressed by Adam Forshaw’s first-half performance as Leeds United lost against Manchester United on Sunday.
Forshaw, 30, started for the first time in over a month in the 4-2 loss at Elland Road as he replaced Raphinha in Marcelo Bielsa’s line-up.
It was a tough afternoon for the ex-Middlesbrough midfielder, who Robinson feels failed to cope with Paul Pogba for large parts of the derby showdown in West Yorkshire.

“I think Forshaw struggled in the first half against Pogba because they played one-on-one all over the field,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
“I thought Pogba was outstanding, he was clearly in the mood for it and I think Forshaw struggled with him in the first half. In the second half, he did better.”
Forshaw has played 20 times in all competitions for Leeds this season, completing a remarkable comeback after almost two years out injured.

He’s proven himself to be one of the fittest and most impressive players in Bielsa’s squad but there are days when the intensity of the game can get past him.
That was the case on Sunday against Man United but it was also the case for a number of his teammates, especially in the defence.
As for the game against Liverpool, when Leeds lost 6-0, Forshaw started again and was easily one of the better players for the Whites.
In other Leeds United news, a double-page spread in a newspaper says that it’s the beginning of the end for this Elland Road man.
