PGMOL to avoid escalating Leeds United controversy after Daniel Farke reveal
Leeds United will have likely dealt with the PGMOL in private over the decision to not send off Preston captain Ben Whiteman, Keith Hackett has said.
The Lilywhites midfielder was already on a booking when he caught Jayden Bogle with his studs in the 1-1 draw at Deepdale on 14 December, only to avoid further punishment.
Daniel Farke revealed on 19 December that he had received no letter from the PGMOL, but Hackett admitted they were trying to avoid escalating the issue.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, the ex-FIFA referee shared the likely outcome of the controversy despite what Farke said earlier at Thorp Arch.
“The PGMOL will avoid if possible dialogue on referee decisions,” he said.
“Particularly those in the Championship which are usually dealt with by Former Premier League referee Mike Jones.

“They will also want to avoid the risk of escalating the problem.
“It is likely to have been dealt with in private correspondence between the club and PGMOL.”

Farke will now have all eyes on Oxford United at Elland Road on 21 December, with three points the aim after dropping them at Deepdale following this incident.
This isn’t the first time Leeds has had issues with the PGMOL, and more questions are starting to be asked in front of the media to raise the pressure.
In other Leeds news, Peter Risdale has spoken out on the Whites yet again with a recent relegation admission.
