Paul Robinson wants Leeds United fans to trust Victor Orta over Noa Lang pursuit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson wants Leeds United fans to trust Victor Orta and his team of scouts after it was reported the Whites want to sign Club Brugge forward Noa Lang.
Last week, Sky Sports Italy journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Leeds want to open talks over signing the 22-year-old, who can play as a left-winger or up front.
It is understood Brugge want to get the Dutch attacker tied down to a new contract amid interest from Leeds.

And while many people might not have heard of Lang, Robinson claims that Orta has done enough at Elland Road to earn the fans’ faith.
Speaking to MOT Leeds News after Romano’s update on Lang, Robinson said: “You have to put your trust in Victor Orta and the scouting network that Leeds have.
“You look at the signings they’ve made and you only have to look at Raphinha, for example, and what they paid for him and the output they’ve got from him.
“If they wanted to make a quick buck, they could do and they could double, if not treble, what they paid for him this summer.
“When we’re seeing players linked we’ve not heard much about, without looking on Google or looking into their history and stats then you have to put your trust in because these clubs have scouting networks in place where the idea is to find this next player.
“It’s not just Leeds – all clubs have the same thing. But Leeds seem to do it a little better than most.”

Lang scored 17 goals and supplied 11 assists in 37 appearances across all competitions this season to help Club Brugge win the Belgian league title.

Romano and the Mail have reported between them that while Brugge want to get him to sign a new deal, they could consider selling him for a significant profit too.
Leeds seem as though they could be offering Brugge that financial opportunity in the coming weeks.
In other Leeds United news, a Leeds news website has completely messed up a story about supposed advanced talks to sign a £40million player.
