Paul Robinson: No disgrace if Leeds United miss out to AC Milan to sign Charles De Ketelaere
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Paul Robinson has insisted that Leeds United missing out on Charles De Ketelaere to AC Milan would be no disgrace, and only shows how far they come.
The ex-Whites stopper admitted if the Italians do miss out, Victor Orta has every right to do all he can to secure the services of the Belgian international.
Robinson believes that Leeds are a much bigger club than Club Brugge, and the chance to play in the Premier League could tips the scales in their favour.

“It’s not a bad club to lose out on a player too,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“It shows how far they’ve come over the last two seasons, they’re actually competing on the same level. If a deal hasn’t gone through to AC Milan, there is an opportunity there, it’s no embarrassment being second choice to AC Milan.
“If a player has the choice to leave Club Brugge and then choose between Milan and Leeds, it’s no disgrace to lose out. If it’s a player they want, why not carry on chasing him, why not try and get him out.
“Leeds is a far better club than Brugges and the opportunity to play in the Premier League may tip the scales.”

Saga.
This has no doubt been the saga of the transfer window across Europe.
What is worst, is that it is no closer to being finished, and AC Milan are once again said to be pushing to try and get a deal over the line – something we have heard numerous times already.
Leeds have offered the asking price and it is on the table waiting to be accepted, but De Ketelaere is said to prefer the move to the San Siro this summer.
The Premier League and the money on offer is not a bad second choice if that is the case though, and we don’t believe anyone would complain if he did eventually arrive at Elland Road.
