Paul Robinson warns major bids incoming for Leeds United ace Kalvin Phillips
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has warned Leeds United that there’ll be bids made for Kalvin Phillips this summer due to his stunning form at the Euros.
The 25-year-old impressed once again earlier this week when he played all 90 minutes of the 2-0 win over Germany at Wembley in the last-16.
It’s not the first time Phillips has stolen the show at the European Championships this summer and Robinson feels as though the whole continent will now be aware of what the Leeds star is capable of.

Speaking to MOT Leeds News, he said: “Not just Man City but European football is now standing up and noticing Kalvin Phillips.
“As a Leeds fan myself, we Leeds fans watch him every week and know what he’s capable of. But as soon as he got put in the England squad people are standing up and taking notice of him.
“Now, all of a sudden, Europe’s taking notice of him.
“He’s been the mainstay of that team. Yes, the defence was good against Germany – Harry Maguire and John Stones were excellent – but they were protected extremely well by the two holding midfielders and a lot of that is down to Kalvin.“

Phillips has regularly been linked with a move away from Elland Road.
In 2019, the Whites confirmed they rejected bids over £20million for the England international while they were still in the Championship.
TuttoJuve has more recently claimed that Manchester City, Tottenham, Juventus and Real Madrid are all interested in Phillips.
Robinson fully expects major bids to come in for the 25-year-old before next season starts.
He added: “I’ve got no doubt that there will be interest and I’ve got no doubt that Leeds will have to fend off bids for him.
“But in the same way as Raphinha, you get him and his agent in, sit down and say, ‘how long and how much?’.”
“Listen, Leeds aren’t going to the challenging for Champions League football any time soon. If he’s got an opportunity to play Champions League football and challenge for the Premier League title, it’s a huge draw.
“As much as he loves Leeds, it’s nothing to do with finances, it’s to do with personal gain on the field and being successful.
“If he’s capable – and he is – of playing for a top-four or top-five team in the country, it’s a huge draw. It’s a big opportunity for somebody.“
In other Leeds United news, the Whites are just one step away from this major new signing.
