Max Wober injury update emerges post meniscus surgery at Leeds United

Max Wober is expected to be out of full Leeds United training until the first week of November after his meniscus injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that the surgery he had was very likely a trim of the meniscus with the irritated piece removed.

The 26-year-old last played for the Whites in the 3-0 defeat against Middlesbrough in the EFL Cup on 14 August and appears to be ahead of schedule in terms of his recovery, per Leeds Live.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Wober: “Given his six-week return timeline, this was very likely a trim of the meniscus where the surgeon removes the irritated piece of the meniscus.

I would expect him to return to individual training around a month after the procedure.

As it seems he’s ahead of schedule, I’d say he’ll be out of full first-team training until the first week of November and then ramp up to team training and then bounce matches.

Max Wober will be like a new signing for Daniel Farke at Leeds United

Having Wober back will be like a new signing for Daniel Farke as he did not have him available last season.

The Austria international was on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach for the 2023/24 campaign and is now battling an injury.

Hopefully, he does not encounter any issues in his rehab and can return to first-team football in November.
