‘Massive’ Leeds United development as Crysencio Summerville wows Sky Sports pundit

We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United

Paul Robinson has insisted that the Leeds United win over Ipswich in the Championship was “massive” as they charge towards the top two.

The former Whites goalkeeper labelled Crysencio Summerville as “outstanding” before singling out Ethan Ampadu and Joe Rodon as the unsung heroes at Elland Road.

Leeds travel to Preston on Boxing Day with the chance to cut the gap to four points before Ipswich welcome Leicester in a huge clash at Portman Road.

“He and the whole team were great against Ipswich,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“I think Summerville has been great in recent weeks, I think his directness, his pace, he is a constant attacking threat and the goals have been added to his game.

The team performance, it was a massive game, let’s not forget it was coming off the back of a disappointing draw against Coventry.

Leeds United manager

Leeds are unbeaten at home, they’re a strong side and I said from the start of the season, I thought they’d go up in the top two automatic places, with players like Summerville, for me, the unsung heroes of the team, Ampadu and Rodon, they’ve really found their feet, they’ve not found their level but they seem to have settled and found their home at Leeds under the manager.

Summerville has been outstanding, the result against Ipswich was massive, and with Ipswich playing Leicester, the gap could close again. As I said a few weeks again, I was waiting for the Ipswich bubble to burst and with a draw against Norwich, a 4-0 defeat at Leeds, it will be interesting to see how they bounce back.”

In other Leeds United news, Farke has axed one player from the squad altogether despite him being available.
