Manor Solomon in ‘win-win’ scenario even if Leeds United fail with promotion
Manor Solomon will be fine next season whether or not Leeds United earn promotion to the Premier League, according to Ian Darke.
The TV commentator, speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, has judged Solomon to be a player “between” the Championship and top flight in terms of ability.
The 25-year-old has started the majority of his games of late at Elland Road under Daniel Farke, but Darke believes he will have career options regardless of Leeds’ fate after his loan from Tottenham.
“I don’t know about Solomon’s future impact. He’s a nice player but I think he’s one of those who are between the Championship and the Premier League,” he said.
“Leeds would have to make that assessment in the summer whether he’s worth it long-term if they do go up. If he helps Leeds to promotion, the job he’ll have done will at least alert other teams going for promotion in next season’s Championship.
“There’d be some nice possibilities for him; it’s a win-win from his perspective.”
Manor Solomon wows at Leeds United
Solomon has made a positive impact since arriving at Leeds on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, adding to the attacking firepower in Farke’s squad.
Despite not being included in the XI earlier on in his time at the club, the past two months or so have seen Solomon earn more game time.

The winger has played exactly 1000 minutes of Championship football so far, chalking up three goals and four assists.
In other Leeds news, Paul Robinson believes Farke is under a lot of pressure.
