Manor Solomon best signing of the window at Leeds United as Premier League claim made

Paul Robinson believes Manor Solomon’s loan move to Leeds United was the “signing of the window” after a superb start at Elland Road.

Leeds only signed the 25-year-old on loan from Tottenham but he has hit the ground running since making the move to West Yorkshire, providing an assist in the 2-0 win over Hull City.

Fans have quickly fallen in love with the Israeli international, who has netted seven goals in 39 caps, and Robinson believes he is a Premier League-quality player plying his trade in the Championship this season.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Robinson said: “I think he’s the best signing of the window at Leeds. He’s a really clever signing – he’s a Premier League player. We saw him on loan with Fulham, which prompted Tottenham to buy him.

“He didn’t really get his opportunities at Spurs last year but he’s very well established at international level, playing over 35 games for Israel. Looking at his quality and directness, he’s someone who belongs in the Premier League.

“Leeds have lost Rutter, lost Summerville, lost Sinisterra last season. Alongside Gnonto, he’s the type of player who does give Leeds Premier League quality. He was a very shrewd signing, who can play anywhere across the attack, even as a false-nine if needed. I thought he was excellent against Hull City.”

Leeds United secure incredible signing of Manor Solomon

Following the exits of Rutter, Summerville and Archie Gray, Daniel Farke was crying out for reinforcements before the summer transfer window slammed shut on 30 August.

Now, it appears Leeds have secured one of the best signings of the entire window in Solomon. Of course, he has only made one appearance for the Whites so far but the early signs have been exciting.

Leeds will be hoping to gain promotion to the Premier League after missing out narrowly last term, and Solomon could be key if Farke is to lead the Whites out of the Championship at the second time of asking.
