Luis Sinisterra blasted as ‘stupid’ by BBC pundit after Leeds United incident v Aston Villa
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has slammed Luis Sinisterra for his “stupid” red card on Sunday as Leeds United drew 0-0 with Aston Villa at Elland Road.
Sinisterra, 23, was sent off by Stuart Attwell for a second yellow card not long after half time.
The Colombia international was shown a yellow card in the first half for a cynical foul before deciding to pointlessly block an Aston Villa free-kick after the break.

Leeds fans were less than impressed by Attwell’s performance as the referee but Robinson feels Leeds’ disciplinary issues started under Marcelo Bielsa and simply haven’t got any better.
“It’s stupid,” said Robinson to MOT Leeds News when talking about Sinisterra’s red card.
“The discipline hasn’t been anywhere near good enough this year.
“It was a problem last season under Marcelo Bielsa with the number of yellow cards they were getting.
“But they’re trying to stay in the league and these are the kind of games you’re looking to take points from.
“It was a great result but it could have been a lot better and a lot easier if they didn’t have a stupid sending-off.
“It was avoidable and there was no need.”

Leeds’ disciplinary issues continued under Jesse Marsch at the back end of last season with Luke Ayling and Dan James receiving stupid red cards.
This season, Sinisterra was the first player to be sent off for the Whites while the club has so far amassed 16 yellow cards, the joint-sixth-most in the Premier League.
In other Leeds United news, Adam Forshaw has shared how Marsch tore into one player in front of everyone at traning.
