Leeds United v Millwall injury news: Doctor shares Karl Darlow update

Leeds United goalkeeper Karl Darlow is not yet at a 100 per cent ahead of the Millwall clash, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The Whites play host to the Lions at Elland Road on Sunday, 17 March, and could end the weekend at the top of the table with a win.

The injury expert has explained Darlow’s situation who was ruled out for several weeks with a thumb injury.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds NewsBrar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Darlow:

His return to the matchday squad likely means he’s close to 100 per cent but is not fully there until he’s got some game time.

It’s always hard to be there without actual matches as second choice keeper though, he’s likely as close as he will get.

He will still be monitored behind the scenes to see how the thumb is responding.

Will Darlow consider Leeds United summer exit?

The 33-year-old was signed from Newcastle under the impression he would be first choice at Elland Road.

However, that’s a position Illan Meslier has held this season under Daniel Farke.

Darlow is not growing any younger and should Leeds get promoted, his chances of becoming the number one may reduce considerably.

This could see him leaving Leeds, especially if he wants to be a first-team regular for the coming seasons.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites have already started scouting a defender who plans to return to England in the summer transfer window.
