Leeds United transfer update emerges on goalkeeper Conan Ledesma

Leeds United may need to go the extra mile to help Conan Ledesma adapt if they do sign him, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that as the River Plate goalkeeper has not played in England, they will need to ensure he adapts well because he can face issues with his fitness.

It’s understood that the Whites are targeting a deal for the 31-year-old Argentine as they look to replace Illan Meslier. [Fichajes, 7 January]

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Ledesma: “He has not yet played in England so Leeds may need to go the extra mile to ensure he adapts and also they must minimise injury risk.

Key things off the pitch will be reimplementing habits and getting accustomed to a new environment, city and teammates.

On the pitch, adapting to the colder weather and some physicality, especially on corners, will need to be done.

Leeds United need to find an upgrade on Illan Meslier

Meslier has been a liability for the last few seasons so if the Argentine keeper is an upgrade on him, the Whites must sign him.

They cannot let goalkeeping howlers cost them promotion and Daniel Farke must be adamant about this in talks with the board.

Whether or not he can successfully convince the club to sign a new stopper, remains to be seen.
