Leeds United transfer news as Tottenham ace Joe Rodon medical claim emerges
Tottenham defender Joe Rodon is unlikely to pass another medical should he join Leeds United permanently, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that as he’s been under the care of the Whites physios all campaign and has not had any fitness setbacks, the club may waive the medical.
This comes after Football London’s Alasdair Gold reported on 1 June that the Wales international had signed all the documents ahead of a move to Elland Road.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Rodon:
“Rodon has been under the care of the team physios this past season so I suspect they would waive the medical.
“The medics will have been monitoring his fitness thoroughly so if it’s going to be a mere announcement of him staying, they may waive the physical assessment and pre-transfer medical checks.
“His fitness record has also been nigh on perfect, playing 43 out of 46 games in the league with no significant injuries.”
Leeds United are better suited for promotion with Joe Rodon in the XI
Leeds’ chances of promotion will be significantly boosted by the permanent signing of Rodon.
The 26-year-old defender has been a standout performer during his loan spell at Elland Road, forming a formidable partnership with Ethan Ampadu at the heart of the Leeds defence.
His experience, leadership and defensive prowess will provide a solid foundation for Leeds as they aim to secure promotion back to the Premier League.
The Wales international’s presence will also help to shore up the team’s defensive frailties, making them a more formidable and balanced side capable of competing at the top of the Championship.
