Leeds United to take extra caution with Noah Okafor after what happened again vs Tottenham

Noah Okafor was in the starting 11 for Leeds once again against Tottenham.

Leeds fell to a 2-1 defeat to Tottenham on Saturday afternoon, though it was another positive day for Okafor in front of goal.

The Swiss international was on the score sheet again for the Whites, finishing into an empty net after a save from Guglielmo Vicario.

However, away from his goal, a recurring concern emerged after what he was seen doing when going down the tunnel.

Noah Okafor caught limping once again for Leeds

Okafor’s injury record before he joined Leeds sparked concern, and those fears were only amplified when he picked up another injury not long after his arrival.

Since then, he has been spotted limping off against Wolves and Bournemouth, and was seen doing similar against Tottenham.

While none were injuries that prevented him from making an appearance in the next game, it is something that Leeds will be keeping an eye on.

With that in mind, injury expert Dr Brar exclusively revealed to MOT Leeds News that the Whites may have to take extra caution with the forward in the future.

He said: “It’s always challenging to give an informed opinion on minutes when on the outside looking in because we aren’t privy to so many details like his metrics, his overall fitness level, what coaches and staff are seeing in training and in the gym.

“Based on him leaving the last two matches, I reckon they will be a little more careful because it looks like game demands might just be a little too high for him right now.”

Willy Gnonto’s return will subdue Noah Okafor fears

Okafor has been Leeds’ only fit winger for the last few games, with Dan James ruled out for several weeks alongside Willy Gnonto.

That alone will put extra strain on the Swiss international, who is likely being forced to play more than anticipated given the situation.

With an international break now upon us, the hope will be that Gnonto and/or James can be back to fitness in time for the next clash, which will allow Farke a lot more room when it comes to rotating his attacking options.
