Leeds United to secure ‘massive’ promotion boost in fresh Sheffield United prediction

Leeds United could edge one step closer to a Premier League return with a win against Sheffield United on Monday night.

Leeds head south to Bramall Lane (24 February), to face a Sheffield United side who would be level at the summit of the Championship had it not been for a points deduction at the start of the season.

Just two points separate the two sides heading into the game which has the potential to be a title-deciding encounter.

A win for Leeds would take them seven points clear of third-placed Burnley, while a defeat would open the door for the Clarets to dethrone the Whites in the coming weeks.

Paul Robinson forecasts Sheffield United v Leeds

Troy Deeney previously stated that the winner of the clash will win the title, a sentiment echoed by Paul Robinson when speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News.

“I think [a win] goes a long way [towards winning the title], absolutely,” said Robinson.

“You look at where the league is. Leeds two points clear of Sheffield United. Burnley slightly closed the gap. Let’s be honest, you look at it, it’s two from three [for automatic promotion].

“Leeds and Sheffield United both won the last four in a row. Leeds won five, drawn one of the last six. Sheffield United won five and lost one of the last six. They are the two strongest teams in the championship. But in all honesty, I can see a draw.

“Heart obviously wants Leeds to win this game. But it looks like if there are 20 minutes to go in this game, I don’t see either manager throwing the kitchen sink at it. Because a point each just edges them both away from Burnley and keeps them both going with momentum towards the end of the season.”

Leeds to find a way to win without Manor Solomon

Manor Solomon has been a pivotal part of this Leeds team and the question as to where they would be without him is certainly one that would likely receive a fairly daunting response.

However, Solomon is a doubt for the clash and Leeds will possibly need to find a way to win without his quality on the left flank.

With 14 goal contributions this season, the Spurs loanee has played a crucial role in their promotion hopes but it may just open the door for Largie Ramazani to have his say in the matter.
