Leeds United to get best deal for Rasmus Kristensen after transfer twist
Dan Plumley insists that any deal is better than no deal sometimes as Leeds United look to offload Rasmus Kristensen permanently.
Currently on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, the Germans are said to want the defender permanently but on a much lower fee than the previously agreed £12.5million [Bild].
Plumley, a football finance expert, admits that Leeds would also be getting rid of his wages as well as the transfer fee, meaning it could still be a positive deal all-round.
“I think that’s the reality of these situations,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“If it’s not working out, any deal is better than no deal and absolutely right that we don’t just look at the transfer fee, we look at wages and all the other associated costs.
“They will have a total figure in their heads that might mean a saving on the wage bill and then the transfer fee on top.
Leeds United to seal cut-price Rasmus Kristensen sale?
“It’s always by negotiation isn’t it, there’s no guarantee it plays out either way but if you’ve got a situation there that isn’t quite working for your club, but a little less than you wanted, it might still be the best deal all round because of the wages you can save as well.”

Kristensen also revealed that his former side Midtjylland made an offer before his move to Germany, as he wants to rejoin them before his career ends.
Whatever happens, it appears perfectly clear that the right-back will not play at Elland Road again, regardless of what offer is made for his services.
