Leeds United to consider sale of Patrick Bamford on three conditions – Injury Expert
We’re delighted to welcome injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the injury situation at Leeds United...
Leeds United would consider the sale of Patrick Bamford this summer on three different conditions, believes Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert believes that his lack of availability for the first team is a major reason why the club may not want to do anything with him.
Along with this, they feel he can generate funds post relegation and he also may not want to play second tier football next season.

Last Word On Sports (7 June) reported that Bamford had an outburst during a social night out with the team a few months ago and made his intentions clear that he wanted out this summer while on The Phil Hay Show (26 May, 7m 20s), Hay claimed that his career at Elland Road might be over.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said on Bamford, “Part of the exit links will certainly have to do with that as his injury record over the past 18 months has been quite spotty which makes it difficult to rely on a player, especially someone who is a key piece of the team.
“Further, he also still has some value and with Leeds being relegated, likely still wants to play top-flight football so those are also two major factors along with his injury record in a potential sale.”
Bamford’s fitness record for Leeds has been far from impressive and his lack of availability had frustrated fans and managers alike.

Even when fit, he’s not managed to deliver prolific goal-scoring numbers and thus, has been a liability in the final third.
His glaring misses towards the back end of the 2022/23 season led to animosity among the Leeds fanbase with many calling for his sale.
It remains to be seen if the new Leeds boss can convince the English striker to stay or if the board feels a sale might be the best option.
In other Leeds United news, a BBC pundit has been left stunned as Phil Hay has dropped a fresh update on who the Whites are considering bringing in as manager this summer.
