Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford injury news emerges v Coventry City
Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford is unlikely to play the 90 minutes against Coventry City following his back injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the English forward is not yet at 100 per cent and will not be able to play the entire game at Elland Road on Saturday, 28 September.
The 31-year-old did return to the bench against Cardiff on 21 September but was an unused substitute.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Bamford:
“I reckon he isn’t at 100 per cent considering he was out for a month with a back injury and he won’t be 100 per cent unless he gets a consistent run of matches.
“The club will monitor his minutes and response to make sure he is ramping up gradually.
“He’ll be available for the weekend but I do not see him being able to last the full 90 minutes.“
Patrick Bamford is unlikely to be a regular starter for Leeds United
Daniel Farke has shown his faith in Mateo Joseph this season and he’s likely to start against Coventry City.
With Brenden Aaronson playing as a number 10, Joel Piroe is another option for the Whites to lead the line in case Joseph is struggling in that role.

While Bamford could still have an impact off the bench, it’s unlikely that he will be a regular starter for Leeds.
In other Leeds United news, a Sky Sports man has issued a transfer verdict on a player the Whites want to sign “badly”.
