Leeds United sporting director talks in pipeline - Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson has claimed “conversations” should take place in the summer when it comes to appointing a new sporting director at Leeds United.
Victor Orta was sacked on 2 May and to date, the position has yet to be filled by Andrea Radrizzani and the board.
Leeds All Over now reported on Friday 5 May, that Norwich chief Stuart Webber is high on the Italian’s wishlist of potential successors to Orta.
However, Robinson feels those talks will have to wait until after the season concludes on Sunday afternoon (28 May).
“Those types of conversations can be opened in the summer,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“First of all, the majority shareholder needs to be established and what direction and structure they want to go in.
“Whether that being a sporting director, director of football, advisor to the board or an out-and-out manager, who manages the recruitment and team as well.
“It’s probably one of the items on the to-do list at the end of the season when Leeds know where they are at. It’s certainly not a pressing matter.”
To date, Webber has been one of the only names linked to the Elland Road vacancy, with Radrizzani waiting till the summer to fill the role.
In other Leeds United news, our exclusive pundit has demanded an internal investigation takes place at the club.
