Leeds United: Sky Sports pundit wowed by Andrea Radrizzani after multi-million reveal
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Paul Robinson has heaped praise on Andrea Radrizzani at Leeds United confirmed a profit last season in the Premier League.
As revealed on Companies House on 6 April, Leeds made a profit of £26million before tax with an operating profit of £5million.
The Yorkshire Post reported that Sheffield United are the only other team in the Premier League last season who reported an operating profit.
As reported by finance expert Kieran Maguire, Leeds finished the 2020/21 season with £29million “in the bank”.
Ex-Leeds goalkeeper Robinson is thrilled with the figures and even though there’s a chance the San Francisco 49ers will one day completely own the Yorkshire club, the pundit hopes Radrizzani still plays a role at Elland Road.
“To stay in the Premier League and make a profit is an absolutely incredible achievement,” Robinson told MOT Leeds News.
“We know that the second season is the hardest one to stay in the Premier League but to also record a net profit is an unbelievable achievement.
“The club has been very well run since Radrizzani came in – he’s been an outstanding owner.
“I know there’s a lot of talk about the 49ers coming in and taking the majority shareholding but whatever happens, I personally want to see Radrizzani stay as part of the club.
“It’s become a big part of his life and I don’t think he would let it go.
“I think from a Leeds fans’ point of view and my point of view, I want him involved in making decisions for the club going forward.”
In other Leeds United news, this “exciting” player is worse off under Marsch than he was when Bielsa was in charge.
