Leeds United sent message as £12.9m bid made to sign Jeremie Boga
This story includes exclusive opinion from injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar.
Leeds United are reportedly keen on securing the services of former Chelsea winger Jeremie Boga.
Dr Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has assessed the fitness issues faced by the 28-year-old in the 2024/25 season ahead of a potential move this summer.
The Ivory Coast international is currently plying his trade at French club Nice since 2023.

Boga’s multiple injuries last season may hamper his transfer chances
The Elland Road outfit may take a look at injury history from last season and decide if it’s worth taking the risk, according to Dr Brar.
Leeds have made a £12.9million bid for Boga and he’s open to returning to England. [Africa Foot, 9 July]

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Boga: “Leeds may take a closer look at his most recent muscular injury to see if it was related to previous injuries or recurring.
“He had three different injuries last season, which restricted him to just 21 league games.
“This would be in the higher risk category, as he would need to adapt to the intensity of the Premier League as well.“

Leeds United must not go ahead with the Boga transfer
Leeds United must avoid signing Boga to maintain their Premier League survival hopes for the 2025/26 season.
Despite the Ivorian’s flair and dribbling ability, his inconsistent output raises concerns about his reliability in high-pressure situations.
His limited impact in recent seasons due to fitness issues, coupled with a relatively steep price tag and high wages, represents a financial risk for a club needing pragmatic, high-intensity players to fit Daniel Farke’s system.
Boga’s lack of pressing and defensive work rate also clashes with Leeds’ need for cohesive, hardworking attackers to secure their top-flight status.
