Leeds United relegation would be ‘disaster’ after Burnley drama – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Paul Robinson isn’t ready to say Leeds United are out of the Premier League’s relegation battle just yet.
Jesse Marsch has overseen three wins in his last four matches in charge with the Whites now eight points clear of the bottom three.
However, Robinson admits a managerial twist at Burnley that saw Sean Dyche sacked on 15 April and the fact the Clarets and Everton have games in hand could prove key.

“They’re not in a position where you can say they’re home and hosed,” said Robinson to MOT Leeds News when asked about his former club’s survival hopes.
“There’s still a lot of football to be played. They’ve got six games left, Everton have got eight, Burnley have got seven.
“If you string a run of three wins together, that’s a real cat among the pigeons.
“On current form, you can’t see that happening to Burnley or Everton and for Leeds, you can say yes, they’re safe for where they are when you’re looking at the form of the other teams and their remaining fixtures.
“But, as we know, two games in a week can change this, six points for one team can throw everything right up in the air.
“Watford and Norwich are gone, in all honesty, and I genuinely think it’s between Leeds, Everton and Burnley but Burnley are strong favourites to go.
“It would be a disaster for Leeds if they got sucked into that position but with the fixtures they’ve got left, I can’t see how they get relegated from where they are.”

Leeds’ impressive run of form means they’ll go into their next game away at Crystal Palace next Monday knowing that they’re not far from safety.
Burnley’s form has been woeful while, as Robinson says, Watford and Norwich are as good as gone.
Everton are below Leeds and have terrible fixtures to come but they’re win over Manchester United last time out will have no doubt boosted morale at Goodison.
In other Leeds United news, this young prospect is quitting Leeds and could turn out for his potential new club on Tuesday night.
