Leeds United players ‘sought after’ as £150m Elland Road news emerges – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United…
Paul Robinson believes Leeds United will have plenty of players who are “sought-after” during the 2023 summer transfer window.
The Athletic reported on 8 May that the Whites believe they have between £150million to £200million’s worth of talent within the squad, which could be sold.
Robinson does feel there is value within the squad at present but believes the club may be better off holding on to their best players to boost their chance of an immediate return to the top flight.

“A player is only worth what a club is going to pay for them. If Leeds are in the Championship, then that will be less than in the Premier League,” Robinson exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“There are players in that squad that will be sought-after. There are some good players in there. Some haven’t fulfilled their potential this year.
“To put a number on that – a round figure of £150million – would it be beneficial to lose those players when you’re looking to bounce straight back?

“After the last time that Leeds went down, it was 16 years in the wilderness. There’s an argument to keep that squad together and try to bounce back at the first attempt.
“Yes, there will be a lot of value in the squad, everything including the football will be a lot more valuable in the Premier League.”
In other Leeds United news, our exclusive pundit has demanded an internal investigation takes place at the club.
