Leeds United ‘panicked’ verdict shared as Manor Solomon concern raised at Elland Road
Manor Solomon is playing within himself and has not hit the levels he started with at Leeds United, according to ex-player David Norris.
The winger arrived on loan from Tottenham Hotspur late in the summer transfer window but, after starting promisingly, has not delivered quite as much since recovering from a hamstring injury.
Solomon was given his first start since 14 September last weekend against QPR [9 November], lasting 72 minutes before being replaced by Daniel Farke.
“I think I’d be concerned about it a little bit, but wouldn’t be overly panicked,” former Whites midfielder Norris exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“If you lose a bit of confidence through his injury or not getting straight back in producing like how he started, it could be quite hard. Especially at a place like Leeds with the demand.
“It feels like he’s lacking that sort of confidence. It doesn’t look like he’s at the level he showed he can perform at, but it’s an area Farke does sometimes have options which helps.”
Manor Solomon linked with Leeds United axe back to Tottenham
With rumours gathering pace of Tottenham potentially taking Solomon back from Leeds to end his loan early, Don Goodman [10 November] has said this would only happen if he receives a lack of game time at Elland Road.
This has occurred to an extent, despite Solomon’s restoration to the side last weekend; other quarters have judged the 25-year-old to be “trying too hard”.

Leigh Bromby was one of several to criticise the wide man’s performance against bottom-placed QPR upon his return to the starting XI, as doubt remains over the future of his Yorkshire stint.
