Leeds United need to seal striker signing before Wolves game, Arnaud Kalimuendo loan makes sense – Sky Sports pundit
We’re delighted to welcome former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson as our exclusive columnist as each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Leeds United...
Paul Robinson has insisted that Leeds United have no choice but to sign a striker in the next 11 days before the Premier League starts again.
The ex-Whites stopper believes that Paris Saint-Germain striker Arnaud Kalimuendo is an option, and could even arrive on loan rather than a permanent deal.
Patrick Bamford is looking ready to start, but a reluctance to use Joe Gelhardt makes Robinson believe another number nine is desperately needed.

“Leeds definitely need a new striker,” he exclusively told MOT Leeds News.
“They’d be very naive to go into the new season without back-up or competition for Patrick Bamford, you saw how they missed him. They’ve got the opportunity to get the lad from PSG, whether on loan or a permanent, that is a position that needs addressing before the season starts.
“They can’t afford to go into the season with only Bamford as a fit striker. The manager was reluctant to play Gelhardt at times last season and I think they need to get a like-for-like striker for Bamford.
“They didn’t play Gelhardt enough last season.”

Priority.
We have seen that a new number nine has been the main target since the window opened, but yet it looks as though no process whatsoever has been made.
Patience can be key in the window, but it can also harm your plans.
Waiting for Club Brugge, AC Milan and Charles De Ketelaere could massively backfire if the Italian side do make a breakthrough, with eyes having to go elsewhere.
Kalimuendo would be a smart choice, but even he could be another one who could stay where he is after impressing on a pre-season tour of Japan.
With each day that passes, a new striker coming in before Wolves gets more unlikely, fingers crossed that all changes very soon.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites now want to sign this striker with a rival set to kickstart a major £30million+ transfer battle
