Leeds United: Jaidon Anthony could make permanent transfer after Luis Sinisterra to Bournemouth
Paul Robinson admits that Luis Sinisterra’s confirmed Leeds United exit to Bournemouth opens the door for Jaidon Anthony to do the same in reverse.
The on-loan winger came to Elland Road late on the summer Transfer Deadline Day after the his Colombian counterpart forced an exit back to the Premier League.
Sinisterra has since completed a £20million transfer and will not be returning to West Yorkshire, but while Robinson does think that gives Anthony an “opportunity” to remain instead it is not something that will be decided before the end of the season.
And after spending the campaign stuck behind Crysencio Summerville, Dan James, and latterly also Willy Gnonto, he feels the 24-year-old still has “more to prove” before a deal could be done.
He exclusively told MOT Leeds News: “It gives him an opportunity. But there’s a lot of things to be decided with Leeds and it all depends on what league they’re in next year.
“Leeds’ transfer business will be decided on what league they’re in. Yes it does give Anthony an opportunity to make the move permanent, with Sinisterra making his move permanent.
“But I think he’s still got more to prove. He’s not a regular starter. He comes on, he has an impact off the bench, but I think a lot of decisions will be made at the end of the season.“

Jaidon Anthony has more to prove at Leeds United for permanent deal to be possible
In Summerville, James and Gnonto the Whites have arguably the strongest trio of wide men in the Championship this term.
And while the likes of Sinisterra and potentially Jack Harrison won’t be returning to further crowd that field Anthony has probably not yet made Daniel Farke certain he needs to spend the money on keeping him at Elland Road.
A lot of that isn’t necessarily the Englishman’s fault, but having scored just two goals and registered one assist in all competitions, as his 30 appearances have barely totalled 900 minutes [Transfermarkt], he hasn’t been indispensable and the manager may have his eye on others if he gets the club promoted.
