Leeds United injury news: Pascal Struijk training update shared by Doctor
Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk will not be back in training until June due to an injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert reacted after the club confirmed that the Dutch centre-back had to undergo surgery on his groin, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
It’s understood that the procedure of giving injections did not work as he did not respond as expected which meant they had to have the operation.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Struijk:
“It sounds like he hasn’t responded as well as the team would have liked and the other procedure – an injection – also didn’t take like they were hoping.
“At that point, you have to become a little more invasive which means a longer return timeline.
“He’ll not be back in training before June as it will take him weeks of recovery time before he’s ready to return on the grass.“
Leeds United will be hoping he’s back to 100 per cent next season
Struijk was a first-team regular this season when he partnered Joe Rodon, but unfortunately, injury has ruled him out.
While Ethan Ampadu has stepped up in his absence, it’s still important to have him back and the physios will undoubtedly be helping him behind the scenes.

He also offers the team an option at left-back and if another one is not signed there, he could be playing that role, hopefully in the Premier League next season.
In other Leeds United news, the club have now made moves in order to secure their first permanent transfer of the summer.
