Leeds United injury news: Doctor shares training update on Dan James

Leeds United winger Dan James is still expected to be out for a couple of more weeks, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert claims that he may not be in action for at least three weeks but it could change based on where he is with his recovery.

The Wales international missed the weekend fixture against Rotherham and is unlikely to be fit for the clash against Swansea on 13 February.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about James:

Sounds like a Grade 3 out of 4 adductor injury which would mean over three weeks out.

The club will have a methodical and gradual progression plan for him to return quickly and safely.

He’s likely to be out of training for a week or two unless he’s at an advanced stage of his recovery.

Dan James to return to Leeds United XI?

There is a healthy competition for places at Elland Road and Daniel Farke will be enjoying pitting his attacking oppositions against each other.

James had five goals + assists in the last five games he played before being ruled out and will be knocking on Farke’s door once he returns.

Whether or not he’s given the nod over Wilfried Gnonto or Jaidon Anthony on the right flank, remains to be seen.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites could have moved fast to sign a West Ham defender with just a few negotiation points left to iron out.
