Leeds United injury news: Doctor shares surgery update on Stuart Dallas
Leeds United midfielder Stuart Dallas is fighting an uphill battle to return to full fitness after a broken femur, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert admits that there are no guarantees that the Northern Ireland international will return again to professional football but it’s not because he needs surgery again.
He suffered a horrific and career-threatening injury back in February 2022 against Manchester City in a Premier League clash.
Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and Sports Scientist, said about Dallas:
“Hard to say if he’s fighting a losing battle as it’s a significant blow but it’s certainly a massive, uphill battle considering the extent of the injury and absence.
“Doesn’t sound like it’s a surgical issue but more so of regaining match fitness and performance levels.
“No guarantee he will ever make it back but he’s certainly trying.“
Leeds United fans would love to see Dallas return from injury
Dallas was a fan favourite in the run in to secure promotion and also in the first season back in the Premier League.
Not only was he lauded by the Elland Road faithful, but even managers and fans of other clubs waxed lyrical over him.

He has been a model professional throughout and while his injury appears to be getting the better of him, there still is that glimmer of hope that he will be back in action.
